Here is a smile, and if only I was smiling to look at the ascending line. Because I’d hide truths behind silence just so u won’t know.
That I cry, and fear absence. Too.

I’ve always thought, that it’s okay you still don’t have a partner to call someone special. Because, my blog partner, no matter how good looking he is, hadn’t a girlfriend himself. I thought. Until yesterday, when he got engaged. (congratulations, barakallah) Adui ni pun. So both my blog partners are now engaged. But I’m only 23, they’re already 25. Why worry?
Hee.
Keep calm and study.

Allow me the pleasure to jump on this mud
so you’ll hear it splatter on a rain-washed tar
slip into your thongs
come out here and listen to me sing
My lucky star’s got a heart of bronze,
a despair of forgotten 16th birthday
many half-hearted loves
and yet doesn’t see through my eyes
My despair spells
a hope to walk into yesterday
and wave at you goodbye
way home from a philosophical sunset walk
Oh, on lonely evening walks
do you never wonder how I hate
did someone not teach you how to read
had I not make you smile these years
So you’ll hear me when I look away;
I wish I could walk into yesterday
say, don’t blow up but answer
what do they mean, all these you never told me
There was no pleasure in a heart of bronze
a despair of forgotten 16th birthday
many half-hearted loves
or looking through someone else’s eyes
But lonely sunset walks on rain-washed tars.

Assalamualaikum. G’day mate!
Oh just how many times must I repeat this. Today I had the first usrah for this new semester, and as much as I am excited that we get to scrutinise the Holy Quran the way we do all interesting texts (only more casual) I’ve started to love a few cover songs done by Raef. I don’t know his full name. But he’s got a whole load of catchy covers of With You, I’m Yours and..well, here. Explore by yourself anytime. :)

So, watching his videos, I said to myself, why here’s how to attract our children to love Islam! We can slowly instill love for Allah through songs, and as they become a part of us we can go on exploring the beauty of Islam, love for Rasulullah SAW and anything. Just anything. :)
I miss my guitar. I sent her home and now I’m alone. Lan, lend me your spare guitar please?
